We miss seeing you in-person! We are thrilled to announce that Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage is coming back this summer with free performances in Central Park venue and in Harlem’s Marcus Garvey Park.* Sing and dance with us this summer to celebrate!
After an incredibly difficult year for our city, this summer we’ll be celebrating live performing arts with distinctly New York genres – hip-hop, Latin, indie rock, contemporary dance, jazz and global. Performances will follow all state and local regulations regarding large-scale outdoor events, including limited capacity and socially distanced seating. Admittance will require a free ticket, proof of vaccine and/or negative COVID test, and health screenings. All in-person performances will be live-streamed on SummerStageAnywhere.org, rights permitting.
As a 2021 SummerStage Champion, you receive access to concerts while supporting the largest free outdoor performing arts festival in NYC.
Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage is New York’s largest free outdoor performing arts festival. In a typical year, SummerStage presents approximately 100 performances in 15-18 parks throughout the five boroughs. With performances ranging from American pop, Latin, world music, dance, and theater, SummerStage fills a vital niche in New York City’s summer arts festival landscape. Since its inception 35 years ago, more than six million people from New York City and around the world have enjoyed SummerStage. In 2020, Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage Anywher was launched in response to the global pandemic, presenting 80 free digital performances, spanning all genres, available to viewers around the world.
New York is the quintessential global city, and the place we have been proud to call home for more than three decades. SummerStage brings renowned artists and rising stars from around the world to local neighborhood parks, presenting distinctly New York genres — salsa, jazz, and hip hop — alongside indie, reggae, Afrobeat, soul, modern dance, and much more. We turn local parks into dynamic and accessible performance spaces. There truly is no better place to experience music than amongst the trees in this iconic spot. Come watch a legendary artist or discover the performer you’ll love next!

Our iconic venue transformed into a state-of-the-art venue with a new stage, new sound system, increased lighting, upgraded backstage areas, raised seating, and an improved concert-going experience for all guests. What didn’t change was SummerStage’s mission to present iconic and emerging artists from widely diverse genres that reflect the population of our international city.
