Summerstage Partnerships

Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage is one of New York’s most beloved, broadly accessible, free outdoor performing arts festivals. SummerStage annually presents more than 80 free and benefit performances in Central Park and neighborhood parks throughout the five boroughs reaching more than 220,000 fans. With diverse artists and performances in genres that represent the cultural fabric of New York City ranging from jazz, hip-hop, Latin, and global to indie and contemporary dance, SummerStage fills a vital niche in our City’s summer arts festival landscape. Since its inception nearly 40 years ago, more than seven million people from New York City and around the world have enjoyed SummerStage.

SummerStage presents innovative marketing and integration opportunities to help partners reach diverse audiences.

SPORTS PARTNERSHIPS

CityParks Play’s instruction keeps more than 7,100 children ages 6 – 17 healthy and active in parks while learning sports they can play for life — tennis, soccer, golf, and track & field. Beginner and intermediate classes are offered around the city, while more advanced coaching and tournament training is available at the kids-only Junior Golf Center and Junior Golf Annexes, and through the Lacoste Junior Tennis Academy. In partnership with Nike, our Girls Forward program provides teenage girls ages 13-16 with a safe and empowering space to play and stay in sports. Fitness programs — yoga, tennis, pickleball, tai chi, and fitness walking — help keep more than 1,000 seniors agile and connected to their communities.

YOUTH EDUCATION PARTNERSHIPS

CityParks Learn’s STEM-based programs teach public school students that science is fun, while making a direct connection to the natural world and the ways in which they can help protect our environment. Our programs — Seeds to Trees, Learning Gardens, Coastal Classroom, and, new in 2025, Eco-Innovators — reach more than 4,100 students in school, after school and during the summer. Programs are supported by nearly 100 high school and college paid interns who gain critical job skills. Teacher training encourages educators to plan their own lessons using parks as outdoor classrooms.

By partnering with CityParks Learn, partners will have unique opportunities for integration and activation while supporting STEM education for NYC youth.
