2023 ANNOUNCEMENTS

City Parks Foundation Announced $913,000 In Grants Awarded

City Parks Foundation announced the selection of 32 grantees through the NYC Green Fund’s Treetops Grants program. These 32 NYC-based nonprofits received either one- or two-year grants of up to $40,000 annually to support a wide range of projects in parks and open spaces in New York City, including stewardship, environmental action, organizational development, health and wellness, youth engagement, and live arts and culture. Overall, a total of $913,000 was distributed to organizations. Read the full announcement here. 

NYC Green Fund Grants Nearly $500,000 To Local Organizations

City Parks Foundation and Partnerships for Parks announced the selection of 68 grant recipients through the NYC Green Fund’s Grassroots grants program. These 68 NYC-based community groups will receive grants of up to $30,000 to support open space stewardship, environmental action, organizational development, health and wellness, youth engagement, and live arts and culture programs in parks, gardens, and open spaces. Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage Announces 2023 Season

City Parks Foundation is excited to announce the 2023 season of Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage, New York City’s beloved outdoor performing arts festival, bringing 80 free and benefit shows to Central Park and 12 neighborhood parks across the five boroughs.

City Parks Foundation Announces New Board Chair Roland S. Merchant, Jr., A Commercial Real Estate Executive

City Parks Foundation announced today that commercial real estate executive Roland S. Merchant, Jr. will take over as Board Chair for the organization. He has served on the board since 2014. Current Board Chair David Barse has completed his three-year chair term and will remain on as Executive Chair.

NYC Green Relief & Recovery Fund Grants $510,000 to 10 Organizations

City Parks Foundation is pleased to announce that the NYC Green Relief & Recovery Fund (NYC Green Fund) recently granted $510,000 to 10 innovative projects advancing equity and community involvement in parks and open spaces. The 2023 Systems Change grants program will provide one- and two-year-long grants in order to address parks equity challenges, strengthen partnerships and increase access, and support innovative use of green infrastructure.

2023 City Parks Foundation Dinner & Concert Benefit at SummerStage in Central Park Announces Honorees

City Parks Foundation is pleased to announce their 2023 benefit fundraiser, taking place Thursday, September 28 in Central Park. This year’s event will honor Chief Programming Officer and President of National Programming for iHeartMedia, Tom Poleman, with the SummerStage Icon Award and will honor Co-Founder and Principal of The Young Women’s Leadership School of the Bronx, Devon Eisenberg, with the People & Parks Award.
