Transforming neighborhood parks across New York City

City Parks Foundation’s Build programs help New Yorkers improve their local parks.

Did you know? New York City has over 1,700 parks and playgrounds that rely on three crucial groups for their care:

  1. The NYC Department of Parks & Recreation
  2. Private philanthropy
  3. Everyday New Yorkers

City Parks Foundation brings these partners together! Through Build, we equip local residents and grassroots leaders with the tools, training, and funding they need to improve under-resourced parks and turn them into safe and vibrant green spaces. Together, we are building a more resilient, equitable, and livable New York.

Fiscal Sponsorship

We can serve as the fiscal sponsor for volunteer groups that want help raising money and managing funds for their projects caring for outdoor spaces in NYC.

NYC Parks & Open Space Partners

We organize a coalition of 50+ member organizations that collaborate to solve challenges facing New York City’s system of public parks and open spaces. The NYC Parks and Open Space Partners group works together to organize, elevate, and share ideas to advance equity and resilience in parks and outdoor spaces across the five boroughs.
