Because of COVID-19, City Parks Foundation is taking precautionary measures in all of our programs.

Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage will not take place in May and June, per City restrictions. We are hopeful that we will be able to present SummerStage performances later in the summer or fall if and when public gatherings are allowed. In the meantime, we will be adding new live performances and original content to our website to bring SummerStage to you.

For ongoing updates on all of our programs, please continue to visit our website and social media channels.

Last season, we were thrilled to unveil our newly renovated flagship venue in Central Park. Our iconic venue transformed into a state-of-the-art venue with a new stage, new sound system, increased lighting, upgraded backstage areas, raised seating, and an improved concert-going experience for all guests. What didn’t change was SummerStage’s mission to present iconic and emerging artists from widely diverse genres that reflect the population of our international city.

About SummerStage

Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage is New York City’s largest, free outdoor performing arts festival, taking place in Central Park and 17 neighborhood parks around the city, from June-October, presenting approximately 100 performances — the majority of which are free of charge — for 200,000+ audiences annually.

New York is the quintessential global city, and the place we have been proud to call home for more than three decades. SummerStage brings renowned artists and rising stars from around the world to local neighborhood parks, presenting distinctly New York genres — salsa, jazz, and hip hop — alongside indie, reggae, Afrobeat, soul, modern dance, and much more. We turn local parks into dynamic and accessible performance spaces. There truly is no better place to experience music than amongst the trees in this iconic spot. Come watch a legendary artist or discover the performer you’ll love next!
