PROGRAMS OVERVIEW

Starting this spring we will transition from our current skill-based First Tee programming to an age-based format for all programs. The First Tee is a nationwide youth development organization impacting the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. Students will be grouped by age levels (6, 7-9, 10-11, 12-13, and 14+), and progress to the next course when they advance to the next age level. Once the class begins, students will be grouped based on their experience and ability.

Registration for the Summer 2022 program will be available on May 26th at noon.

Please note: Class registration typically fills up very quickly. If you are unable to register for a particular class, we encourage you to use the waitlist function built into our registration system. You will be contacted if/when there is an opening. Please only sign up once for a waitlisted class.

Age 6
For young children who are new to golf. Fun games and contests spark an interest in the game and help develop motor skill needed to play golf.

Ages 7-9
This program teaches the fundamentals of golf in a fun, safe, and empowering environment. In this age group, participants are introduced to both golf and basic life skills such as meeting and greeting, respect and courtesy.

Ages 10-11
Our program for ages 10-11 supports the exploration of both character and golf skills in active and collaborative ways.

Ages 12-13
This program focuses on the development of both golf and character skills. The lessons and activities empower participants to explore both golf skills and character commitments appropriate for their stage of growth and development.

Ages 14+
Our program for ages 14+ places a greater emphasis on the personal development of participants. These lessons help participants elaborate on their understanding and applying what they have learned to new situations on and off the course as they evaluate, and provide evidence of their new understanding of life and golf skills.

We also provide 2-hour beginner clinics for organized, non-profit youth groups. Space is limited and and on a “first-come basis.” Contact us in May for more information and to schedule a group.
