In response to the increasing spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant, SummerStage now requires all guests to show proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID, in order to gain entry to our shows. In order to attend Dawes, guests are required to have had their final dosage of the vaccine by September 3.

In addition, masks are required upon entry to the venue and strongly encouraged for all guests for the duration of the performance, as is physical distance. More information on acceptable documentation, mask guidelines, and other safety protocols can be found here.

Born in 2009 from the ashes of the Malibu band Simon Dawes after the departure of Blake Mills, Dawes is a folk rock band from the San Fernando Valley that channels the Laurel Canyon sound through the spirit of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Anchored by brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith, their raw, rootsy sound has established them as one of Southern California’s premier folk rock bands, equally at home at a protest (Occupy Wall Street) or network television (Parenthood). This fall they’re finally touring in support of their 2020 LP Good Luck with Whatever, joined by Nashville’s Erin Rae, whose Southern sensibility somehow manages to incorporate equal parts Wilco and Françoise Hardy.
