SUMMERSTAGE

We prioritize the safety of SummerStage’s guests, staff, and artists. Below you will find information on how to attend SummerStage this year.

SummerStage will no longer require tickets for free performances as of June 30. All free performances will be open to the public, general admission will be subject to venue capacity limits, and will follow CDC recommendations for health and safety related to COVID-19.

SUMMERSTAGE UPDATES

  • Face Coverings

Due to the ongoing risk of COVID-19 in our city, we ask that anyone who is not vaccinated to please wear your mask and try and remain 6 feet apart. SummerStage strongly recommends vaccinated guests also wear masks and practice social distancing, due to the recent rise in cases in NYC.

  • Creating Social Distance

Your SummerStage experience has been modified to support social distancing guidelines during all events.  We ask that unvaccinated individuals maintain social distancing.

  • Venue Sanitization

High-touch surfaces and common areas such as restrooms and seats will be cleaned and disinfected regularly in accordance with CDC guidelines.

  • Restrooms and Sanitization Stations

Each section of the venue has convenient access to designated restrooms. We ask that you use the restroom located closest to your section. Each restroom will feature touch-free fixtures for your safety, and they will be cleaned and sanitized for your visit to SummerStage. Additionally,  hand sanitizer dispensers will be located in various locations around the venue.

  • Food and Beverage Service

This year, you can view our food and drink menu and place cashless orders easily by scanning the QR codes placed around our venue near the concession stands. Food and beverages may be ordered in advance here as well.

To view the menu, scan the QR code with your smartphone (open the camera on your smartphone and point it at the code for recognition). The webpage that pops up will allow you  to place an order and pay for it using a major credit card or Apple, Google, Android or Samsung pay.  When your order is ready, you will be notified by text to visit the concession stand and pick up your order.

Guests must be 21+ and must show a current valid federal or state ID to buy alcoholic beverages. Each person may purchase up to two drinks at a time.

  • Touchless Experience

From cashless concession payment to touch-free restroom fixtures, we are committed to providing a touchless experience for our guests. We have implemented these measures to keep guests and conditions in the venue as safe as possible.

  • Accessibility

Accessible entrance and exit points and seating are available for every event. Other protocols related to accessibility remain the same, which can be found on our Frequently Asked Questions page.

For more information on accessibility, please contact summerstage@cityparksfoundation.org.

  • Arriving at SummerStage

It’s time to head to SummerStage! Doors will be open at least two hours prior to show time to ensure everyone can enter the venue without crowding. Please refer to the specific times for each show listed on our calendar.

Venue capacity may be limited and entry is first-come, first served.

Upon arrival, please have your mask on if you are unvaccinated. We ask that all attendees attest “no” to the following questions before arrival at SummerStage:

    • In the past 14 days have you been diagnosed with COVID-19 or been asked to quarantine?
    • In the past 10 days have you had new or worsening symptoms such as a fever, shortness of breath, persistent cough, sinus congestion or runny nose (not attributed to allergies), loss of taste/smell, headache, sore throat, severe muscle aches, fatigue, or nausea/vomiting/diarrhea?
    • In the past 14 days, have you had close contact or high-risk exposure to someone with an active or suspected case of COVID-19? This includes being less than 6’ away for more than 15 minutes in a 24 hour period or direct contact with mucus or saliva.
    • In the past 10 days have you been asked to get a COVID-19 test due to symptoms or risk of exposure and are still waiting for the results or received an inconclusive result?
    • If you had a severe case of COVID-19, are you within 20 days of your last symptom?
