We prioritize the safety of SummerStage’s guests, staff, and artists. Below you will find information on how to attend SummerStage this year.

In response to the increasing spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant, all guests will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination in order to enter our shows at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. In addition, masks are required upon entry to the venue and strongly encouraged for all guests for the duration of the performance, as is physical distance.

For additional information to plan your visit to SummerStage, visit our Frequently Asked Questions page or contact boxoffice@cityparksfoundation.org with any questions.

SUMMERSTAGE UPDATES

    --

Please note at the Coney Island Amphitheater:  To reduce staff contact with guest belongings, this venue has implemented a clear bag policy. The venue will allow clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" and/or small clutch bags (4.5"x 6.5"). Clear bags will be available for purchase on the boardwalk and the box office, if needed.

If you must bring a bag larger than what is outlined below, such as a knapsack, be prepared for a thorough search by a member of our security team. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

  • Venue Sanitization

High-touch surfaces and common areas such as restrooms and seats will be cleaned and disinfected regularly in accordance with CDC guidelines.

  • Restrooms and Venue Sanitization

In Central Park, each section of the venue has convenient access to designated restrooms. We ask that you use the restroom located closest to your section. Each restroom will be cleaned and sanitized regularly. Additionally, hand sanitizer dispensers will be located around the venue.

Marcus Garvey Park will have portalets. The Coney Island Amphitheater has in-house restrooms available.

All locations will be sanitized regularly and between each use.

  • Food and Beverage Service

This year, you can view our food and drink menu and place cashless orders easily by scanning the QR codes placed around our venue near the concession stands in Central Park. Food and beverages may be ordered in advance for Central Park only here as well.

To view the menu, scan the QR code with your smartphone (open the camera on your smartphone and point it at the code for recognition). The webpage that pops up will allow you  to place an order and pay for it using a major credit card or Apple, Google, Android or Samsung pay.  When your order is ready, you will be notified by text to visit the concession stand and pick up your order.

Guests must be 21+ and must show a current valid federal or state ID to buy alcoholic beverages. Each person may purchase up to two drinks at a time.

  • Touchless Experience

We are committed to providing a touchless experience for our guests. We have implemented these measures - such as cashless concession payment - to keep guests and conditions in the venue as safe as possible.

  • Accessibility

Accessible entrance and exit points and seating are available for every event.

Those who are not able to be vaccinated because of a disability will be provided reasonable accommodation and will be required to wear masks at all times.

Other protocols related to accessibility remain the same, which can be found on our Frequently Asked Questions page.

For more information on accessibility, please contact summerstage@cityparksfoundation.org.
