A free outdoor art exhibit featuring the work of 28 contemporary local artists working across textile and fiber art, figurative and abstract painting, sculpture, assemblage, collage, mixed media and photography curated by Saundra Heath. Explore the exhibit, meet the artists and create your own self-portrait in a free self-portrait workshop (no art experience needed) guided by artist Élan Cadiz. Presented by Mount Morris Park Community Improvement Association (MMPCIA) in partnership with Heath Gallery, NYC Parks and the Charlie Parker Jazz Festival. This project is made possible in part with funds from Creative Engagement & UMEZ Arts Engagement, a regrant program supported by DCLA and NYSCA and administered by LMCC. Private support is provided by City Parks Foundation and Partnerships for Parks through the NYC Green Fund. The event is free and open to the public.
