Join Partnerships for Parks for an It’s My Park project to beautify John Jay Park. Volunteers are needed to help care for and celebrate John Jay Park’s trees. A tentative schedule for the day is below! We look forward to seeing you in the park! Walk-ons are welcome. Generous public support is provided by the NYC Council under the leadership of Speaker Adrienne Adams, with special thanks to Council Member Julie Menin.

9:30 am: John Jay Tree Celebration Begins!
Art and education all day: Tree-related art project, nature scavenger hunt, and tree bingo
Tree care all day: Help care for John Jay Park trees! Tree mulching, litter pickup, and bulb planting with PfP.
10:30 am to 12:00 pm: Thank You to our trees! Geared towards elementary and middle school, we will discuss the importance of our urban forest.
1:00 pm to 2:30 pm: Winter tree identification. This workshop, led by an arborist, is well suited to older kids and parents

Volunteers should meet in front of the park house/bathrooms.
