In the third year of what’s becoming an annual Queens ritual, DJ Rekha’s Basement Bhangra Beyond returns to the World’s Borough. Featuring Sonny Singh, whose bold and joyous musical innovation uplifts and channels ancestral wisdom for our time with a trumpet as a driving force; Tara Lily, a British-Bengali musician whose debut album Speak In The Dark deftly fuses jazz, electronica, trip-hop, and alternative R&B with classical Indian music.
