Birthed by bassist Endea Owens during the pandemic, The Community Cookout creates inclusive spaces that are accessible to anyone no matter their race, gender, or background and strives to make New York a better place through music, activism, and FREE meals. Co-host Marcus Garvey Park Alliance is a not-for-profit advocacy group whose mission is to preserve and enhance the assets of the Park by fundraising, producing and attracting cultural events, and hosting plantings and maintenance activities.
