The Originals are a crew of DJs who have had their finger on the pulse since before hip-hop was a global phenomenon, but was a budding subculture fostered in clubs, house parties, and on the streets of New York City. The group continues to spin feel-good jams at parties that never seem to stop. Among their ranks: Stretch Armstrong of the beloved “Stretch And Bobbito” radio show; Rich Medina, who ran the legendary weekly dance institution APT; and Tony Touch, the b-boy turned DJ whose 50 MCs mixtapes became a Who’s Who of New York hip-hop in the ’90s.
