GhanaFest-NY brings its annual public installation and celebration of Ghanaian culture and heritage to residents of New York City. This year’s event, once again taking over Crotona Park in the Bronx, is headlined by KiDi, a singer, songwriter, and producer from Accra with infectious charisma and stage presence who first broke out in 2017 with his hit single “Odo.” Later successes with “Touch It” (2021) and “Lomo Lomo” (2024) highlight a fresh style that effortlessly weaves R&B and dancehall vibes into the traditional Ghanaian highlife style. He’s joined by Skrewfaze, a Ghanaian afrobeats artist who makes upbeat party music that’s filled dancefloors across West Africa.
