City Parks Foundation is thrilled to announce the 2026 season of Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage, New York City’s iconic outdoor performing arts festival bringing more than 60 free and benefit shows to Central Park and 12 neighborhood parks across the five boroughs. The Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre, operated jointly by City Parks Foundation and the NYC Parks Department, will celebrate World Puppetry Day and 150 years in Central Park with a groundbreaking ceremony to launch a major $10.4 million exterior and interior renovation of the iconic building, setting the stage for a vibrant era of renewal and opening a new chapter in its story celebrating this momentous milestone.
