An overview of Partnerships for Parks and how to support your local green space.
We offer a wide range of learning and networking opportunities for people interested in caring for local parks and green spaces. Whether you are just starting out or a dedicated partner, we have something for you, including workshops and info sessions, trainings, coaching, and more.
Partnerships Academy
Join us at our free Partnerships Academy workshops offered throughout the year. They are a great way to learn the skills needed to get involved with, build, or sustain a community group dedicated to a local park or green space. Our workshops cover working with elected officials, fundraising, getting to know NYC Parks, group development, and more.
PREVIOUSLY RECORDED WEBINARS
Join us to learn about some of the many resources we offer including our grant programs.
Check out these learning opportunities if you are already working with us to care for a local park or green space.
It’s My Park
It’s My Park is our signature program to engage volunteers in hands-on service projects throughout New York City neighborhood parks. Our online training provides information about important It’s My Park processes and resources in order to help community leaders successfully host beautification projects in local parks. This training is for dedicated, long-term park stewards, or those who are interested in becoming one. If this is you, check out our training.
Coaching is a form of one-on-one, tailored support provided to community groups dedicated to a local park. Interested groups must be recommended by a community engagement coordinator and go through a screening process. Speak to your community engagement coordinator if you are interested in one-on-one coaching.
At City Parks Foundation, our mission is to encourage New Yorkers to use their neighborhood parks by offering free environmental education, arts, sports, and community-building programs that bring people into their local green spaces. Please give now if you can—we know that city parks will continue to thrive when all New Yorkers get involved.
