The Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre has proudly participated in OHNY Weekend for several years. A unique structure situated in Central Park since 1877, the Theatre offers architectural charm as well as marionette performances for families from all over New York City and those visiting from elsewhere. This OHNY Weekend, the Swedish Cottage staff will be opening the Cottage to the public from 10am-4pm, as well as offering two guided presentations of the space at 11am and 1pm and a free first-come first-served performance at 3pm.

Sunday’s performance will be a showing of the original production Wake Up, Daisy! – a modern New York-based retelling of “Sleeping Beauty.”

Come see original marionette puppets, learn what it’s like to be a professional puppeteer, and experience this architectural gem in the heart of Central Park.
