In partnership with COLORSxSTUDIOS—the next wave in music discovery through striking video content—this SummerStage show brings three cutting-edge artists, selected by COLORS for their distinct sound and visionary talent, to Herbert Von King Park. Laila! Is an 18-year old Brooklyn singer with a prestigious pedigree—her dad is Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def). Her early singles “Like That!” and “Not My Problem” took off on TikTok, propelling her impressive self-produced debut LP Gap Year! Sasha Keable is a British-Colombian singer-songwriter whose artistry is an amalgamation of the genres that raised her, from classic soul to Colombian staples like Cumbia and Vallenatos. She’s collaborated with the likes of 6lack & Destin Conrad, and SummerStage alumni Ezra Collective. Named by Beyoncé as an artist she takes inspiration from, Sasha’s latest music, shaped by years of growth, marks a watershed moment of creative freedom. Multi-hyphenate artist Talia Goddess is a singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, DJ, instrumentalist, entrepreneur, and community leader who draws on her Guyanese and British heritage to carve out her own sound, fusing neo-soul, electronica, R&B, dancehall and pop on her latest record Down 2 Earth. Providing the DJ lineup for the day, Half Moon is a global cultural institution founded in Brooklyn. Since 2018, they’ve led the way in amplifying new voices in underground music through radio, events, editorials, and workshops—always staying true to their tagline, “Ears to the concrete.”
