The West 72nd Block Association will host its third annual Community Building Day on Sunday, May 18, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help with tree care, clean up tree beds, and plant flowers on West 72nd Street primarily between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues. The volunteers will meet at a welcome table at Verdi Square in front of the 72nd Street subway station (on the south side of 72nd Street at Broadway). The group will then disperse to tree beds along the block and get to work. The event is family-friendly and children of all ages are welcome to participate.
Volunteers should meet at Verdi Square on the north side of 72nd St.
