The Boot Camp Click is at it again, back in Betsy Head Park for another year of the Duck Down BBQ. The hip-hop label’s annual cookout is hosted by members of the seminal Brownsville, Brooklyn clique—Black Moon (Enta Da Stage, “Who Got The Props?”) and Smif-n-Wessun (aka Cocoa Brovaz), boom-bap OGs who helped define a 90s soul & jazz-sampling NYC rap sound that continues to be mined for inspiration by generations of New York rappers.
