DESIGN SUPPORT GUIDELINES
Partnerships for Parks (PfP) offers design support to strengthen the outreach, membership, and program-planning capacity of community groups who care for neighborhood parks in all five boroughs of New York City. Design support can be used to create:
- Brochures.
- Websites.
- Marketing materials (including up to three of the following: business cards, postcards, logo consultation, event calendar template, vinyl banner).
TIMELINE
Applications for design support will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year, though the availability of design support may vary according to capacity. The development of these materials depends on the scope of work and can take anywhere from three months to one year to complete.
ELIGIBILITY
Priority will be given to community groups that have a minimum of two to three active members and a track-record of working with a PfP community engagement coordinator.
Design support is available for only one project (e.g. brochure, website, or marketing materials) per year.
Selected community groups must submit final reports for all grants received through PfP before receiving design support. Additionally, a final report on any design support received must be submitted before a group is eligible to apply for design support again.
We do not offer design support for:
- Publications or websites for groups who are NOT long-term stewards of land under the jurisdiction of NYC Parks (parks, playgrounds, green streets, street trees, community gardens).
- Groups whose activities do not occur on land under the jurisdiction of NYC Parks.
- Fundraisers or materials that will be sold for profit.
MORE INFORMATION
- Groups are responsible for providing all required content including text, photos, logo (if applicable), etc.
- If outside consultants such as photographers and/or mapmakers will be commissioned, these fees need to be paid separately and in advance of a project’s printing/launch.
- Publications or websites must be completed WITHIN ONE YEAR.
- Participation in future design support is dependent upon the completion of all reporting requirements. Groups who receive design support may apply for a different design project after a year.
