The multi-instrumentalist Miguel Atwood-Ferguson leads this celebration of Charlie Parker‘s classic and once-controversial 1950 album Charlie Parker with Strings. The show re-imagines the record in a modern context, combining the art of sampling, remixing and inventive compositions and arrangements for a full string section with ensemble. Before his performance, Atwood-Ferguson will host a Q & A session and a screening of unseen footage from the 2012 project Bird With Strings, shot in Marcus Garvey Park.
