It’s My Park: Corporate Volunteer Program

Through our volunteer program, It’s My Park, companies can care for and celebrate local green spaces through hands-on service projects. Our program is designed to respond to community needs through impactful beautification efforts, while engaging employee volunteers in a unique and enriching team building experience. Activities range from gardening, painting park fixtures, shoreline cleanup, and much more!

It’s My Park: Corporate Volunteer Program

It’s My Park (IMP) is City Parks Foundation’s signature volunteer program, engaging tens of thousands of volunteers each year in hands-on beautification projects throughout our city’s neighborhood parks. We host hundreds of corporate volunteer projects each year for companies in New York City. Together, we can care for and celebrate local green spaces through hands-on service projects, giving back to local neighborhood parks across the city!

Your team’s It’s My Park (IMP) project will directly address community needs through impactful, hands-on volunteerism. Based on your team’s preferred date & location, we’ll find the perfect park and activity for your group, supporting the needs requested directly from NYC Parks staff. We’ll plan the details from start to finish, be on site to lead volunteers, and make it a great experience for your team!

  • Plan ahead! We accept requests 3 – 12 months in advance of project date.
  • Projects must be finalized and confirmed a minimum of six weeks prior to the requested project date.
  • We reach capacity far in advance, especially during Earth Month (April) and Climate Month (September), annually.

  • Custom projects between 30 – 200 volunteers
  • Custom opportunities with groups of 200 – 500 volunteers

  • We plan projects in parks throughout all five boroughs.
  • Our program supports parks, playgrounds, community gardens, recreation centers, and more.

  • Weather: there is a 24-hour minimum notice for rescheduling a project’s date; projects scheduled on days with severe heat indexes will require rescheduling, as will severe rain and thunderstorms. Team members will work closely with you to reschedule your project.
  • Minimum donation requirement starting at $4,500* for a group of up to 30 volunteers in an outer borough park (*non-Manhattan projects).
  • Exact donation is dependent on group size and location, and will be provided within your initial proposal.
