Crumb / Phony Ppl / Purr
In Association with DoNYC

Thursday, August 8, 2019

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

East River Park

FDR Dr., Manhattan, New York, NY 10009

Crumb, the nascent Brooklyn-via-Boston four-piece named “The Best of What’s Next” by Paste Magazine in 2018, dilate singer Lila Ramani’s songs into freeform ‘60s psych, loose jazz, and indie rock, referencing the likes of Melody’s Echo Chamber and Novos Baianos. With support from Brooklyn’s Phony Ppl, a sprawling veteran hip-hop collective signed to Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment that once backed Fetty Wap on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a performance of “Trap Queen,” and Purr, the bedroom pop project from NYC natives Eliza Callahan and Jack Staffen which recently recorded with Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado.
