The legendary salsero Eddie Palmieri is a Bronx music legend. After playing Carnegie Hall by age 11, the Puerto Rican Grammy Award-winning pianist, bandleader, musician, and composer founded the bands La Perfecta and the Afro-Cuban supergroup Harlem River Drive, helping shift the sounds of salsa, incorporating more trombones and flute for a new “trombanga” style.
