Does your team have what it takes to keep our city clean? Sign up today for the second annual Jr. Litter League, a citywide competition and youth service program where teams will pick up litter and leaves. Your team will help care for local parks, learn about the importance of the environment, and win fun prizes*!



Program Information

All Jr. Litter League team leaders must review the information listed below before requesting to register your team.

Schedule
The Jr. Litter League season officially kicks off October 17 and runs through December 15. Registration is open through October 1. Teams are expected to host their first clean-up the week of October 17.

Commitment
Teams must complete at least four one-hour clean-ups to be considered for the competition. Teams will need to submit the amount of litter and leaves collected at each clean-up.

Orientation
All participating groups will need to attend a virtual orientation before the start of the program.

Eligibility
The Jr. Litter League is open to teams of school classes, after-school clubs, and youth organizations. Teams should have a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 15 students with three adult leaders. All children on the team must be age 10 or older. Volunteer hours can be counted towards service-learning requirements.

Supplies
You’ll receive a free set of supplies*, which will include all the items necessary to complete volunteer projects throughout the program.

Waivers

All participants (or their adult guardians) are required to sign our volunteer and photo release waivers.
