Program Information
All Jr. Litter League team leaders must review these important
volunteer guidelines in addition to the information listed below before requesting to register your team. When volunteering, all COVID-19 protocols must be observed, including social distancing and wearing face coverings.
Schedule
Litter League season officially kicks off April 1 and runs through June 1. Registration is open through May 1. Please keep in mind that we ask for at least 2 weeks to secure your group’s registration.
Commitment
While teams must complete at least four hours of volunteering to be considered for the competition, there is no limit to the number of clean-ups teams can run. We will ask that you submit the amount of litter you collect each week.
EligibilityThe Jr. Litter League is open to teams of school classes, after-school clubs, and youth organizations. Teams should have a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 15 students with three adult leaders. All children on the team must be age 10 or older. Volunteer hours can be counted towards service-learning requirements.
Supplies
You’ll receive a free set of supplies*, which will include all the items necessary to complete volunteer projects throughout the program.
Waivers
All participants (or their adult guardians) are required to sign our volunteer and photo release waivers.
