The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer PJ Morton may be the keyboardist in mega pop band Maroon 5, but his latest solo LP ‘PAUL,’ comprises soulful R&B that holds a mirror to modern America. He also serves as Solange’s music director, sharing her penchant for self-reflection and illuminating difficult truths. He’s joined by Hammond B3 organist Cory Henry’s group The Revival, a high energy gospel-fueled trio featuring drummer TaRon Lockett and bassist Isaiah Sharkey. Henry, of experimental jazz and funk ensemble Snarky Puppy fame, launched his solo career that delved into his gospel roots with a charismatic funk touch.
