We are thrilled to present the 2021 SummerStage Icon Award to five-time Grammy Award winner and legendary hip hop trailblazer Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson.
As a multi-talented artist and changemaker, Questlove has made profound contributions to our understanding of music in America. A prolific music historian known for his eclectic and widely followed DJ sets, his writing and his podcasts, Questlove regularly shares his encyclopedic knowledge revealing music’s relevance—both in the time it was created and how it resonates today.
