SUMMARY:It's My Park at Bush Terminal Park
DESCRIPTION:This It’s My Park season\, volunteer with Brooklyn Solid Waste Advisory Board (BK SWAB) to beautify Bush Terminal Piers Park. This event will be a part of the Riverkeeper Sweep: an annual\, community-led day of service focused on cleaning up and restoring the Hudson River and its tributaries. Held around early May\, thousands of volunteers participate in projects spanning from NYC to the Adirondacks\, removing marine plastic and litter\, planting trees\, and removing invasive species to restore shoreline health. Our main focus will be cleaning up and cataloguing the debris and refuse we find along the shoreline. We look forward to cleaning up the park with you! \nVolunteers should meet at the public restroom\, then splitting up in groups to clean along or as close to the water line as possible. \nFor more information\, please email elizabeth.royzman@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:It's My Park at Wolfe's Pond Park
DESCRIPTION:DIG+RIDE = FUN. Join NYCMTB on the First Saturday of each month to help\, build\, ride\, and maintain the trails at Wolfe’s Pond park in Staten Island. Volunteers help conduct our monthly trail inspection\, perform routine maintenance tasks\, such as litter pickup raking\, erosion control(digging) and signage maintenance. Volunteer hours start at 9:00am rain or shine. Optional group off-road mountain bike ride at 12:30pm on the trails (The Route: mostly beginner friendly; Distance: ~7 miles). Both groups meet at the Maintenance Shop in the Main Parking lot at Wolfe’s Pond Park: 475 Cornelia Ave Staten Island\, NY 10312.  \nVolunteers should meet outside of the NYC Parks Department building (look for painted leaf). \nFor more information\, please email avril@nycmtb.org.
