SUMMARY:Pinocchio and Gepetto's Big Apple Adventure
DESCRIPTION:During the 2026 season\, the PuppetMobile will present a fresh take on the classic fairytale Pinocchio written by Julia Darden and directed by Bruce Cannon\, with set design by Zlata Godunova and costume design by Charlie DelRisco. \nIn this new telling\, Geppetto is a New York City kid with a talent for invention\, going as far as creating a robot friend in the form of Pinocchio. The story follows the pair as they tour around classic locales\, from the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park to the Victorian Gardens Amusement Park\, and the hijinks they get into along the way. \nThe production features hand-made marionettes crafted by Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre puppet builder Kevin White. In addition to the artistry of the production\, viewers will be treated to original songs written and orchestrated by Daryl Kojak performed by the marionettes.

Musical director Zalmen Mlotek leads a fresh wave of artists shaping the sound of today. Mlotek is a conductor\, pianist\, musical arranger\, accompanist\, composer\, and the Artistic Director of the NYTF\, the longest continuously running Yiddish theatre in the world. \nThe performance features an exciting roster of rising stars\, including Yair Keydar\, the 13-year-old Star Search veteran; Yosef Kogan\, the 13-year-old violin prodigy who has performed at Carnegie Hall\, Merkin Hall\, and the Prague String Festival; The Mamales\, a dynamic trio of young women singers who met while performing Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish; Riki Rose\, a Yiddish singer\, songwriter\, comedian from Williamsburg’s Satmar community; Margot Weintraub\, the young actress and singer best known for roles in the Amazon series Hunters and Sarah Silverman’s Off-Broadway show The Bedwetter; and special guests The Shvesters\, a dazzling and distinctive duo that transform classic Yiddish melodies into new jazz arrangements. DESCRIPTION:During the 2026 season\, the PuppetMobile will present a fresh take on the classic fairytale Pinocchio written by Julia Darden and directed by Bruce Cannon\, with set design by Zlata Godunova and costume design by Charlie DelRisco. \nIn this new telling\, Geppetto is a New York City kid with a talent for invention\, going as far as creating a robot friend in the form of Pinocchio. The story follows the pair as they tour around classic locales\, from the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park to the Victorian Gardens Amusement Park\, and the hijinks they get into along the way.  \nThe production features hand-made marionettes crafted by Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre puppet builder Kevin White. In addition to the artistry of the production\, viewers will be treated to original songs written and orchestrated by Daryl Kojak performed by the marionettes.

SUMMARY:Music for Action\, a Climate Week Concert: Young the Giant / St. Lucia
DESCRIPTION:Turning up the Volume on Climate Change & Tick-Borne Disease: This show is raising awareness about climate change and the resulting increase in tick-borne diseases\, including in urban areas and city parks. Concert-goers will leave equipped to stay safe while enjoying the outdoors. \nPerforming for the evening is multi-platinum Southern California rock band Young the Giant\, known for their hit songs like “Cough Syrup” and “My Body.” Their sixth full-length album\, Victory Garden\, explores themes of resilience and connection\, culminating their years of advocacy and music. The group has made environmental action a priority on the road\, partnering with environmental nonprofit REVERB to reduce the impact of its tours by calculating its tour-related carbon footprint\, supporting local climate and social nonprofits in the communities it visits\, and contributing a portion of ticket proceeds to REVERB’s Climate Project Portfolio.
