SUMMARY:Pinocchio and Gepetto's Big Apple Adventure
DESCRIPTION:During the 2026 season\, the PuppetMobile will present a fresh take on the classic fairytale Pinocchio written by Julia Darden and directed by Bruce Cannon\, with set design by Zlata Godunova and costume design by Charlie DelRisco. \nIn this new telling\, Geppetto is a New York City kid with a talent for invention\, going as far as creating a robot friend in the form of Pinocchio. The story follows the pair as they tour around classic locales\, from the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park to the Victorian Gardens Amusement Park\, and the hijinks they get into along the way.  \nThe production features hand-made marionettes crafted by Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre puppet builder Kevin White. In addition to the artistry of the production\, viewers will be treated to original songs written and orchestrated by Daryl Kojak performed by the marionettes.

Since then\, they’ve run the gamut of performance from cameos on HBO’s Game of Thrones to sets at Coachella\, Glastonbury\, and Lollapalooza. After some time pursuing solo projects\, they’re reuniting for The Mouse Parade Tour\, named for their most recent 2025 album. Indie singer songwriter August Ponthier will open the evening.

SUMMARY:Pinocchio and Gepetto's Big Apple Adventure
DESCRIPTION:During the 2026 season\, the PuppetMobile will present a fresh take on the classic fairytale Pinocchio written by Julia Darden and directed by Bruce Cannon\, with set design by Zlata Godunova and costume design by Charlie DelRisco. \nIn this new telling\, Geppetto is a New York City kid with a talent for invention\, going as far as creating a robot friend in the form of Pinocchio. The story follows the pair as they tour around classic locales\, from the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park to the Victorian Gardens Amusement Park\, and the hijinks they get into along the way.  \nThe production features hand-made marionettes crafted by Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre puppet builder Kevin White. In addition to the artistry of the production\, viewers will be treated to original songs written and orchestrated by Daryl Kojak performed by the marionettes.

SUMMARY:Music for Action\, a Climate Week Concert: Young the Giant / St. Lucia / DREEEMY DJ Set
DESCRIPTION:Turning up the Volume on Climate Change & Tick-Borne Disease: This show is raising awareness about climate change and the resulting increase in tick-borne diseases\, including in urban areas and city parks. Concert-goers will leave equipped to stay safe while enjoying the outdoors. \nPerforming for the evening is multi-platinum Southern California rock band Young the Giant\, known for their hit songs like “Cough Syrup” and “My Body.” Their sixth full-length album\, Victory Garden\, explores themes of resilience and connection\, culminating their years of advocacy and music. The group has made environmental action a priority on the road\, partnering with environmental nonprofit REVERB to reduce the impact of its tours by calculating its tour-related carbon footprint\, supporting local climate and social nonprofits in the communities it visits\, and contributing a portion of ticket proceeds to REVERB’s Climate Project Portfolio. Joining the bill is Jean-Philip Grobler and Patti Beranek’s alt-pop project St. Lucia\, performing work from their album Dusk. DREEEMY will kick off the evening with a DJ set.  \nFor a chance to win VIP tickets to Music for Action\, a Climate Week Concert\, you can RSVP for the show here\, although as all SummerStage shows\, this one remains free\, first come\, first served until we fill up.
