DESCRIPTION:DIG+RIDE = FUN Join NYCMTB on the First Saturday of each month to help\, build\, ride\, and maintain the trails at Wolfe’s Pond park in Staten Island. Volunteers help conduct our monthly trail inspection\, perform routine maintenance tasks\, such as litter pickup raking\, erosion control(digging) and signage maintenance. Volunteer hours start at 9:00am rain or shine. Optional group off-road mountain bike ride at 12:30pm on the trails (The Route: mostly beginner friendly; Distance: ~7 miles). Both groups meet at the Maintenance Shop in the Main Parking lot at Wolfe’s Pond Park: 475 Cornelia Ave Staten Island\, NY 10312.  \nVolunteers should meet outside of the NYC Parks Department building (look for painted leaf). \nFor more information\, please email avril@nycmtb.org.

DESCRIPTION:SummerStage Member Presale: Wednesday\, February 24 at 12PM \nCapital One Cardholder Presale: Wednesday\, February 24 at 12PM \nGeneral on-sale: Thursday\, February 25 at 10AM \nTyler Coombs\, better known as his stage name Of The Trees\, makes ice cold bass music from the frigid plains of Maine. A staple of the festival scene\, he’s known for creating a full sensory audio-visual journey and has made repeat appearances at Bonnaroo and Electric Forest\, even curating his own festival\, Camp Alderwild\, in Telluride\, CO. His latest release\, Moonglade Park\, was developed as a concept album designed around a fictional national park and was hailed by Billboard as “one of the strongest dance releases of the year.” Jade Cicada\, Chmura\, and Snuffy will open the evening.

Performers include Colorado-born soprano Tessa McQueen\, who spent the Met’s 2025–26 season as Helen in the company premiere of Mason Bates’s The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay\, the First Lady in The Magic Flute\, and Annina in La Traviata; Connecticut-based tenor Alex McKissick\, who recently covered several roles in Gabriela Lena Frank’s El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego; and Lonwabo Mose\, a bass-baritone from Cape Town\, who is set to make his company debut during the Met’s 2026–27 season as Happy in La Fanciulla del West and the King in Aida; with accompaniment by Mariam Bombrun\, a pianist and coach from Paris\, with credits with the San Diego Symphony\, Académie de l’Opéra National de Paris\, the Met’s revival of Carmen\, and Tosca at the Paris Opera. This event forms part of Carnegie Hall’s United in Sound: America at 250 festival.

DESCRIPTION:On the opening night of its 40th Anniversary season\, SummerStage and the Blue Note Jazz Festival will showcase a supreme talent paying homage to jazz and R&B legend Dinah Washington. GRAMMY-winning vocalist Ledisi will perform selections from her new album For Dinah\, an 8-song tribute to genre trailblazer Dinah Washington\, who breathed new life into R&B in the ‘50s and ‘60s with her gospel\, jazz\, and blues roots\, influencing the likes of Aretha Franklin\, Quincy Jones\, and more. The album is “a love letter to a beautiful Black woman who has inspired me. Made Me\,” said Ledisi\, who imbues Washington’s classics such as “This Bitter Earth\,” and “What a Difference a Day Made\,” with her own neo-soul and contemporary jazz stylings. The evening also features Spilata (Charles Turner III) & Uptown Swing\, led by the titular jazz vocalist and songwriter who’s already made his mark at classic venues such as Birdland\, Minton’s Playhouse\, and Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Multi-talented DJ and producer of Milestones: Celebrating the Culture podcast Angélika Beener aka DJ Kultured Child is on the ones and twos.
