Last Saturday, May 17, hundreds of volunteers headed out to their local New York City parks to clean up and beautify their neighborhood green spaces as part of It’s My Park Day. With generous support from TD Bank, City Parks Foundation and Partnerships For Parks helped orchestrate over 70 It’s My Park Day events in conjunction with local volunteer groups throughout the five boroughs. New Yorkers came out to rake, mulch, plant, paint, and much more to help improve their communities!
TD Bank, the official sponsor of It’s My Park Day, was out in full force, with volunteers at Cunningham Park in Queens, Marine and Kaiser Parks in Brooklyn, and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. in Manhattan. At Kaiser, TD Bank brought out their TD Mobile Forest, which made for a fun and interactive experience for those who came out to spruce up the park, which was heavily damaged during Superstorm Sandy.
In addition to the TD Mobile Forest, TD Bank donated 12,000 branded seed packets and eco-friendly grocery bags for volunteers helping out at It’s My Park Day events throughout the season.
City Parks Foundation and Partnerships for Parks would like to give a big thank you to TD Bank and all of the dedicated volunteer groups for making It’s My Park Day possible!
