City Parks Foundation (CPF) is the only independent, nonprofit organization to offer park programs throughout the five boroughs of New York City. We work in over 750 parks citywide, presenting a broad range of free arts, sports, and education programs, and empowering citizens to support their parks on a local level. Our programs and community building initiatives reach more than 600,000 people each year, contributing to the revitalization of neighborhoods throughout New York City.
SummerStage Kids offers unique, interactive events for kids ages 3-12, and the entire family, throughout the summer in park locations citywide.
With dance performances, storytelling, acrobats, spoken word and music , SummerStage Kids exposes New York City youth to the world of arts and culture through a vast and diverse collection of engaging entertainment unparalleled by any other festival of its kind in NYC. Artists from around the corner and around the globe offer exciting FREE performances June through August every summer.

We need volunteers clean-up and painting at Oxford Park!
Local community members will read stories to children, including Suzette B’Johnson, author of Golden Sheeba: A Fairytale Princess Story.
There will also be a book give away on the lawn! Projects and events will be coordinated by the Friends of South Oxford Park. At 2pm, puppeteers from City Parks Foundation’s Swedish Cottage Marionette Theater will perform “Bessie’s Big Shot” a show about a cow who runs off to join the circus.
